Business Development Manager

About the role

Kresta Laurel Limited is seeking a results‑driven Business Development Manager to expand its market presence in the elevator, escalator and vertical transportation sector across Nigeria. The role is full‑time and on‑site, based in either Lagos, Abuja or Port Harcourt.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in residential, commercial and industrial projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with architects, consultants, developers, contractors, facility managers and building owners.
• Drive specification opportunities during project planning and design stages.
• Lead the preparation and submission of competitive technical and commercial proposals.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Supervise, coach and support Sales Representatives to meet individual and team targets.
• Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis.
• Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions and networking functions.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to address customer requirements.
• Identify modernization, maintenance and upgrade opportunities within existing client portfolios.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, B2B sales or account management.
• Experience in elevator & escalator, construction, HVAC, engineering services or related sectors is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and securing high‑value contracts.
• Experience leading or supervising sales teams.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
