Business Development Manager – Cross‑Border Payments

About the role

XTransfer is looking for a Business Development Manager to grow its import‑export client base in Nigeria. You will focus on high‑value B2B customers that need cross‑border payment and currency‑exchange services, building long‑term relationships and driving revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire Nigerian importers with annual transaction volumes of at least RMB 5 million.
• Present XTransfer’s local payment and currency‑exchange solutions (Naira → USD & Naira → RMB) to prospects.
• Guide clients through account opening and usage of XTransfer’s platform.
• Conduct regular market, client, and association visits to strengthen networks.
• Develop partnerships with customs agents, freight forwarders, logistics firms, and industry bodies.
• Maintain ongoing client relationships and continuously assess their payment needs.
• Report market insights and client requirements to the Country Manager.

Required profile

• OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in business sales, preferably within banking or cross‑border payment services.
• Strong negotiation abilities, customer‑service mindset, and ability to work under pressure.
• Goal‑oriented, confident, and comfortable with a fast‑paced environment.
• Own transportation is a plus.
