Business Development Executive

About the role

Xcene Research is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive revenue growth and expand market presence across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare sectors. You will lead the identification of new opportunities, manage client relationships, and support the commercialisation of the company’s services and products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual and quarterly business development plans aligned with strategic revenue targets.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with pharmaceutical companies, CROs, healthcare institutions, government agencies, academic partners and investors.
• Generate leads through industry research, networking, conferences, referrals and direct client engagement.
• Convert qualified opportunities into contracts, purchase orders, framework agreements and strategic partnerships.
• Maintain strong relationships with sponsors, clients, investigators, regulators, manufacturers and distributors.
• Lead the preparation of proposals, quotations, tender submissions and coordinate feasibility assessments with internal teams.
• Conduct market research to monitor trends, competitors, emerging therapeutic opportunities and industry developments.

Required profile

• Minimum 36 months (3 years) of relevant business development experience.
• Mid‑level qualification with a proven track record of revenue generation.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, able to coordinate cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities and deliver accurate, competitive proposals on time.
