Business Development Executive

About the role

Tendon Innovations Limited is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Executive to identify, develop and convert electricity‑supply opportunities with industrial and large commercial customers. The role is field‑oriented, requiring regular prospecting, site visits and frequent travel across Lagos and other South‑West states.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect industrial and commercial customers needing improved electricity supply.
• Build and manage a structured pipeline from initial contact through commercial activation.
• Conduct regular customer meetings and industrial‑site visits.
• Engage business owners, engineering teams, facility managers and senior decision‑makers.
• Gather essential customer data such as demand, load, operating hours and existing supply arrangements.
• Prepare proposals, presentations, commercial offers and engagement materials.
• Support the structuring and execution of power purchase agreements and related commercial arrangements.
• Coordinate commercial, technical and regulatory requirements for customer onboarding.
• Maintain accurate records of prospects, meetings, documentation and transaction progress.
• Monitor developments in Nigeria’s electricity market and identify new commercial opportunities.
• Submit regular activity, pipeline and performance reports to management.

Required profile

• Proven practical experience in business development or sales within the electricity/energy sector.
• Strong understanding of industrial electricity supply fundamentals.
• Ability to engage confidently with business owners, engineering teams, facility managers and senior decision‑makers.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Lagos and South‑West Nigeria.
