Business Development Executive – Independent Contractor

About the role

MIM Finance Company Limited is expanding its Earned Wage Access solution, WageX, across Nigeria. As a Business Development Executive you will work as an independent contractor to identify, engage and onboard medium to large organisations onto the WageX platform, building strategic employer partnerships that drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new corporate clients within the assigned territories (Lagos, Ogun, Abuja, Oyo, Port Harcourt).
• Build relationships with HR, finance and executive decision‑makers.
• Present and demonstrate the benefits of the WageX solution.
• Generate qualified sales opportunities and manage them through the sales pipeline.
• Negotiate and close partnership agreements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful client onboarding.
• Maintain accurate sales records and pipeline updates.
• Consistently achieve monthly business development targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B or corporate sales.
• Experience selling financial services, fintech, HR solutions, payroll services, insurance or other enterprise solutions is highly desirable.
• Strong networking and relationship‑building abilities.
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
• Self‑driven, target‑oriented mindset with ability to work independently.
• Existing relationships with corporate organisations are an advantage.
