Business Development Executive (B2B Sales)

About the role

Dexterous Applied Training Institute (DATI), a consultancy, training and development institute serving public and private organisations, oil and gas companies, manufacturing firms, energy providers, hospitality businesses and educational institutions, is recruiting a Business Development Executive in Lagos. The role drives B2B account growth and market presence, reporting to the Business Development Manager (Grade 7, SIII) on a Monday to Friday schedule with occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead generation through proactive outreach, cold and warm calling and physical corporate visits to build a pipeline of B2B opportunities
• Serve as primary account contact, assess client training needs, handle service inquiries, collect post-training feedback and drive retention
• Draft commercial quotes, capability statements and standard service proposals within 24-48 hours of request, supporting RFQ/RFP submissions
• Maintain client interaction logs and opportunity tracking in the CRM and report pipeline activity weekly and monthly
• Represent DATI at industry events, exhibitions and corporate presentations and support partnership initiatives

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Social Sciences or a related field; technical certifications are an advantage
• 4-5 years of experience in B2B client relations, key account management or technical sales; Oil & Gas or technical training experience strongly preferred
• Goal-oriented, proactive and persistent, able to manage complex B2B sales cycles
