Building Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Building Engineer to apply scientific principles in the design, construction and supervision of building projects. The role involves integrating modern construction techniques, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering high‑quality, safe structures.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and oversee erection of building works in line with project objectives and programmes.
• Monitor and evaluate project progress, updating charts and schedules as needed.
• Interpret and apply building codes, planning laws and health‑safety regulations.
• Manage building contracts, coordinate stakeholders, supervise works and certify completion.
• Resolve disputes related to construction contracts and project delivery.
• Conduct quality control, fault detection and maintenance of building structures.
• Oversee building services systems and environmental control measures.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of modern building production and management practices.
• Understanding of construction industry structure and its economic impact.
• Experience with project planning, programme charting and performance monitoring.
• Familiarity with building codes, regulations, planning legislation and health‑safety laws.
• Ability to manage contract processes, coordination, supervision and certification.
• Competence in quality control, fault detection and maintenance of structures.
• Knowledge of building services systems and environmental control.
