Bridge Construction Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading international infrastructure firm, is looking for an experienced Bridge Construction Engineer to lead complex bridge projects on‑site in Nigeria. You will be the primary technical authority, ensuring that every phase of construction meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Direct on‑site execution and supervision of bridge construction, including concrete, prestressed, and structural elements.
• Lead and manage field engineering teams, subcontractors, and local labour.
• Ensure strict compliance with engineering standards, quality control, safety protocols, and project timelines.
• Resolve complex technical and execution challenges directly on‑site.
• Coordinate with planning teams, consultants, and project stakeholders to align delivery.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of on‑site execution experience in bridge construction or heavy infrastructure.
• Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Prior experience in Africa or other developing markets is a strong advantage.
