Boiler Supervisor

About the role

The Boiler Supervisor will support senior engineers in ensuring safe and efficient operation of the plant’s boiler systems. The role involves conducting inspections, documenting findings, and contributing to continuous improvement within Nigeria’s largest sugar refinery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and modification of boiler systems to meet specific engineering requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of boiler systems to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Support senior engineers and supervisors in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues related to boiler systems.
• Document technical specifications, maintenance records, and inspection reports accurately.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise boiler performance and contribute to overall operational efficiency.

Required profile

• B.Eng. or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in boiler design, operation, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Membership with COREN, NSE or other recognized engineering professional bodies.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid‑mechanics principles.
• Experience with boiler design, operation and maintenance.
