Blow Moulding Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Blow Moulding Maintenance Engineer to join Sacvin Nigeria Ltd in Abeokuta. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting blow moulding machines and associated plant equipment to ensure optimal production performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on blow moulding machines (CMP 0.5L to Jagmohan 100L) following schedules and checklists.
• Diagnose breakdowns and execute corrective actions under guidance of the Expat Engineer, escalating complex faults.
• Service hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including oil level checks, filter changes, seal replacements, solenoid valve cleaning, and air line upkeep.
• Maintain automated deflashing systems, checking mechanical alignment, pneumatic actuators and trimming blades.
• Carry out electrical maintenance such as sensor, heater band, thermocouple, and proximity switch replacements, and control panel cleaning.
• Service auxiliary equipment like air compressors, chillers, conveyors, cooling water circuits and material handling systems.
• Support mould change‑over activities, handling physical moulds, blow pins, water lines and die gap settings.
• Monitor machines during production for early signs of faults and report promptly.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with SACVIN safety standards and ISO 45001.

Required profile

• OND in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years hands‑on maintenance experience in a plastic blow moulding environment.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in blow moulding.
• Ability to work under the supervision of an Expat Engineer and follow plant procedures.
