Bilingual HR Manager

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual HR professional to lead our human resources function, bridging communication between Mandarin‑speaking partners and English‑speaking teams. This senior role will shape talent acquisition, employee development, and compliance across our construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define job roles, write descriptions, source candidates and conduct interviews.
• Guide hiring managers through selection, offer letters, onboarding, benefits enrollment and IT setup.
• Design performance evaluation, goal‑setting and feedback processes.
• Identify skills gaps and deliver compliance training, professional development and leadership workshops.
• Process payroll, manage health insurance, pension and PTO benefits.
• Ensure competitive salary structures and conduct market salary reviews.
• Mediates employee disputes, handles grievances and conducts exit/stay interviews.
• Maintain up‑to‑date employee handbooks, confidential personnel files and attendance records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience, senior level.
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law and HR best practices.
• Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) is a plus.
