About the role

Ecobank Nigeria is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Bank Teller to join its branch network. The teller will be the first point of contact for customers, handling cash and non‑cash transactions while delivering professional service.

Key responsibilities

• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments accurately.
• Ensure all transactions comply with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide courteous customer service and answer inquiries about accounts and products.
• Direct customers to the appropriate service channels when needed.
• Balance cash drawers and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.
• Report any discrepancies or unusual activities promptly.
• Support cross‑selling of basic banking products to meet branch performance targets.

Required profile

• Strong cash‑handling, numeric accuracy, and basic accounting abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for a diverse client base.
• Attention to detail, problem‑solving, and time‑management in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow banking procedures, compliance, and security standards.
• Minimum secondary school certificate; a diploma or degree in Finance, Banking, Business or related field is an advantage.
• Prior experience in a teller, cashier or customer‑facing financial role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and commitment to confidentiality.
