Backend Developer – Node.js & API Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our team in Port Harcourt. You will design, build and maintain robust server‑side services that power our web and mobile applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for web and mobile clients.
• Create, optimise and manage relational databases with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using JWT and OAuth.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and external services.
• Write clean, secure, and maintainable code.
• Deploy and monitor applications in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Analyse and improve application performance and database queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in backend development.
