Azure Solutions Architect (Remote)

About the role

Sologid Tech Hub is seeking an Azure Solutions Architect on a contract basis to design and implement scalable, secure cloud solutions. This fully remote position works closely with stakeholders and development teams to translate business needs into robust Azure architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements.
• Create detailed solution architectures for Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and resilience.
• Guide software development teams in building cloud‑native and micro‑services applications.
• Define integration patterns between on‑premises and cloud systems, including APIs and messaging.
• Document architecture decisions, standards, and best practices.
• Provide technical consulting on Azure services, cost optimisation, security, and performance.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful delivery of digital solutions.

Required profile

• Strong solution architecture experience with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Consulting expertise, including stakeholder management and requirements translation.
• Software development background with modern programming languages and cloud‑native application experience.
• Integration experience designing APIs, messaging, and data flows across hybrid environments.
• Business‑process knowledge for workflow mapping and optimisation.
• Hands‑on experience with core Azure services (compute, storage, networking, databases, security, identity, DevOps).
• Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices, governance, cost management, and high‑availability/DR strategies.
• Professional Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
