AutoCAD Technician - Machine and Construction Drawings

About the role

I&M Limited, a Nigerian staffing agency connecting professionals with global employers, is hiring an AutoCAD Technician for a full-time, on-site position in Nigeria. The role prepares accurate technical, mechanical and construction drawings using AutoCAD and related design tools, working closely with machine manufacturers, machine draftsmen and project managers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate technical, mechanical and construction drawings using AutoCAD and related design tools.
• Interpret machine engineering and architectural specifications.
• Draft machines and update drawings based on feedback.
• Coordinate with project teams so that design standards and project requirements are met.
• Deliver high-quality project documentation on schedule.

Required profile

• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Surveying or a related field.
• Previous experience in construction and machine engineering design.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural plans, standards and specifications.
• Strong organizational skills, able to manage several drawing tasks and meet project deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and similar CAD software.
• Solid experience with mechanical and architectural drawings, including layouts, sections and details.
• Effective communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
