Assistant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Manager will support the office manager in overseeing day‑to‑day operations, facilities, and logistics for our Ikoyi office. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role ensures smooth coordination between landlords, insurance brokers, accountants, and the logistics team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with landlords and resolve rental issues.
• Organise office meetings, track action items and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with insurance brokers for company goods coverage.
• Liaise weekly with the Managing Director to address pending purchase orders, especially in the office manager’s absence.
• Oversee office and flat equipment, payments, and repairs.
• Direct customer‑facing communication to expedite orders, working with the expediting and logistics teams.
• Monitor communications with OEM and IOC regarding orders.
• Collaborate with the accountant to set targets, deadlines and support audits (FIRS, LIRS).
• Supervise company vehicle usage and approve quotes from expediters.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date asset register and support ISO audit documentation.
• Supervise a team of staff and ensure compliance with internal procedures.

Required profile

• HND or BSc degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of integrity, honesty and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
