Assistant IT Manager

About the role

The Assistant IT Manager supports the organization’s IT infrastructure, business applications, service delivery and technology projects. Working closely with business stakeholders, vendors and global IT teams, the role ensures reliable, secure and efficient IT services while driving continuous improvement and technology adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with group IT policies, procedures, standards and security guidelines.
• Maintain and enhance IT infrastructure through new technologies and best practices.
• Install, configure, maintain and support hardware, software and IT equipment.
• Perform routine audits of systems, software, hardware assets and IT processes.
• Administer server infrastructure, backup systems, disaster recovery and business continuity measures.
• Manage internal and hosted network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, wireless networks and telephony systems.
• Monitor system, server and network performance to guarantee optimal availability.
• Manage the IT Service Management (ITSM) platform, ensuring tickets are handled within defined SLAs.
• Lead the IT support team, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement preventive actions.
• Support planning, coordination and implementation of IT infrastructure and business application projects.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, develop training materials and provide post‑implementation support.
• Assist in IT budget preparation, procurement and vendor management.
