Assistant Director of Sales – Hotel Segment

About the role

The Assistant Director of Sales will support the property’s segmented sales effort, driving group, transient, association and corporate business. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the role focuses on building long‑term, value‑based customer relationships to meet revenue targets and enhance guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales leader to develop and execute segment‑specific sales strategies.
• Lead an aggressive solicitation program to increase business and support revenue goals.
• Set and monitor personal booking goals, recommending targets for the sales team.
• Approve space releases for catering, participate in sales calls, and manage proposal and contract preparation.
• Analyze market data using sales systems, assist Revenue Management with six‑period projections, and review guest satisfaction results.
• Provide exemplary customer service, gather guest feedback, and ensure high standards during pre‑ and post‑event meetings.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field plus 3 years sales/marketing experience, OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with 1 year experience.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve personal booking goals and drive revenue.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
