Artisan Manager

About the role

The Artisan Manager will lead and support skilled artisans across multiple projects in Nigeria, ensuring high‑quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely delivery. This full‑time, on‑site position works closely with project managers and supervisors to translate project requirements into clear daily plans.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily artisan activities, assign tasks and allocate resources.
• Monitor work quality, safety standards and project timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used and workforce allocation.
• Coordinate with project managers to understand requirements and provide on‑site guidance.
• Identify and resolve on‑site challenges promptly.
• Support performance evaluations, training needs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strengthen relationships with local artisan communities and promote best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising or coordinating artisans, technicians or craft workers in agriculture, manufacturing, construction or related fields.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities to manage schedules and track progress.
• Solid understanding of workplace safety practices and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for clear instruction and feedback.
• Problem‑solving mindset with capacity to adapt to changing project needs.
• Willingness to work on‑site across various locations in Nigeria.
• Relevant vocational training, technical certification or diploma/degree preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
