Area Sales Manager – South East Region

About the role

JTI is looking for a dynamic Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations across the South East region. You will work closely with the Sales Director, distributors and sales associates to drive volume growth, ensure product availability and execute trade‑marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve volume and market‑share targets while reporting challenges to the Line Manager.
• Manage distributor relationships, oversee sales and marketing activities, and ensure successful brand launches and route‑to‑market plans.
• Guarantee 100% product availability across all channels and maintain strong contacts with wholesalers, retailers and HORECA owners.
• Plan and monitor field‑force deployment, trade‑marketing programs and consumer activation initiatives.
• Lead, coach and develop a direct team of five sales personnel located across multiple states.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales management within FMCG or related industries.
• Strong understanding of distribution, merchandising and trade‑marketing strategies.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to analyse market data, monitor KPIs and take corrective actions.
