Area Sales Manager – FMCG (Seasonings & Oil)

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead sales activities for a leading FMCG client that produces essential cooking products such as seasoning cubes and cooking oil. Reporting to senior commercial leadership, the role focuses on achieving volume, value and distribution targets while expanding market coverage across the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement area sales plans aligned with company objectives.
• Achieve volume, value and distribution targets within the assigned territory.
• Supervise, coach and motivate sales representatives and field sales teams.
• Manage relationships with distributors, wholesalers and key retail accounts.
• Ensure product availability, visibility and merchandising standards.
• Monitor sales performance, prepare regular reports and forecasts.
• Execute trade promotions, product launches and market activations.
• Track competitor activities and market trends.
• Enforce pricing, credit and company sales policies.
• Maintain strong relationships with key trade partners.

Required profile

• Minimum HND/BSc in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• At least 10 years of sales experience in FMCG, including 5 years in oil or seasoning cubes.
• Strong knowledge of local FMCG markets.
