Area Head of ATR and Financial Controlling

About the role

The Area Head of ATR and Financial Controlling will lead the end‑to‑end ATR service delivery and financial controlling for the EAF region. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the role ensures data integrity, compliance with IFRS/OHADA standards, and drives process efficiencies across the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and support strategic initiatives.
• Oversee ATR service delivery, ensuring process compliance and challenging standards for efficiency gains.
• Ensure financial data integrity, conduct regular GL scrutiny, and manage monthly book close activities.
• Review balance‑sheet reconciliations, NOPAT variances, and trial balances, identifying exposures and taking corrective actions.
• Provide expertise on IFRS and OHADA GAAP for the relevant jurisdictions.
• Support all audit types (statutory, tax, internal, governmental) and drive NFTP implementation.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing finance team, including functional and technical training.
• Participate in global and regional finance projects.

Required profile

• Professional qualification – CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA or equivalent.
• 12‑15 years of experience in core accounting and financial controlling roles.
• Strong knowledge of OHADA and IFRS standards.
• Proven ability to communicate financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.
• Experience managing senior stakeholders and leading audit processes.
• Fluent in French and English.
