AI Innovation Manager - Banking and Payments

About the role

WayaBank is seeking a full‑time AI Innovation Manager to lead the design and deployment of AI‑driven solutions across its banking and payment services. Based in Lekki with a hybrid work model, you will shape the future of fintech by turning data into actionable intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize AI opportunities within personal and business banking, payment collections, and transfer systems.
• Design, develop, and deploy machine‑learning models that improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Analyze large banking and payment datasets to generate predictive insights.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to integrate AI solutions into existing workflows.
• Stay current with AI advancements in the fintech sector and ensure WayaBank remains technologically competitive.

Required profile

• Strong background in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science applied to banking or payment systems.
• Proven analytical expertise in data collection, modeling, and predictive analytics.
• Solid understanding of fintech and traditional banking operations.
• Project management and leadership experience with cross‑functional teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Fintech or banking sector experience is a strong advantage.
