AI Data Curator / Data Engineer

About the role

DataLens Africa is looking for an AI Data Curator / Data Engineer to build and maintain high‑quality datasets that power AI and machine learning models across the continent. You will work closely with annotation, QA and AI engineering teams to ensure data is clean, reliable and ready for model training.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines for collection, cleaning, transformation and storage.
• Collaborate with annotation and quality‑assurance teams to guarantee dataset integrity.
• Automate validation, monitoring and archival of datasets.
• Prepare curated data for downstream AI model training and evaluation.
• Continuously improve data curation workflows and tooling.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data quality.
• Experience building ETL pipelines in a cloud environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
