Agribusiness Associate

About the role

The Agribusiness Associate will work on‑site in Abeokuta, supporting Vantage Nigeria’s clients and internal teams to deliver high‑quality agricultural consultancy services. The role involves assisting with farmland assessments, data analysis, and the development of farm setup and management plans.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating farmland suitability and gathering agricultural and market data.
• Support the creation of farm setup and management plans for clients.
• Coordinate with farmers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and client use.
• Monitor farm performance, identify improvement opportunities, and help implement sustainable practices.
• Provide operational support to keep client projects on schedule and within scope.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret agricultural and market data.
• Knowledge of agribusiness operations, farm management practices, and basic agricultural economics.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for working with clients, farmers, and cross‑functional teams.
• Organizational and project coordination capabilities, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Crop Production, Agricultural Economics, or a related field preferred.
• Prior internship or experience in agribusiness, farm advisory, or agricultural projects is an advantage.
