Accounts Receivable Officer

About the role

Our client, a leading medical diagnostics provider, is looking for a detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable Officer. You will manage the full revenue cycle, from invoicing to claim submission and collections, while maintaining strong relationships with HMOs and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and process invoices for HMOs and corporate clients within set timelines.
• Submit claims and bills to HMOs, insurance providers and corporate organisations, ensuring complete documentation.
• Monitor outstanding receivables, follow up on payments and generate aging reports.
• Investigate and resolve rejected, disputed or under‑paid claims.
• Post customer and HMO payments accurately and reconcile accounts.
• Liaise with HMOs on authorisation issues, tariff discrepancies and payment processing.
• Prepare periodic financial reports on receivables, collections and payment trends.
• Support audit activities and ensure compliance with internal controls and healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Clinical, Operations and Client Service teams to improve billing and receivable processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA or ANAN is an advantage.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounts receivable, HMO operations, medical billing or revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting.
