Accountant – Manufacturing & Warehousing

About the role

Monas Consulting is seeking a diligent Accountant to join its finance team in Abeokuta. The role focuses on managing financial records, cost accounting, and compliance for a manufacturing and warehousing operation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and perform bookkeeping.
• Monitor daily cash flow, support treasury activities, and handle bank reconciliations.
• Conduct production costing, variance analysis, and cost control.
• Perform stock valuation, reconciliations, and maintain inventory records.
• Assist in budget preparation, track performance, and provide basic financial analysis.
• Process monthly payroll, ensuring statutory deductions are remitted.
• Handle VAT, WHT, PAYE filings and ensure compliance with FIRS/LIRS.
• Implement and monitor internal control procedures.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing, collections, and supplier reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management reports and support internal and external audits.
• Process foreign transactions and related banking activities.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting or related field; ACA/ACCA in view is a plus.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Residence in Ota/Idi‑Roko area.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced MS Excel.
• Familiarity with Nigerian tax regulations.
