Accountant – Healthcare Finance

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join Mart Group of Health Services Ltd in Lagos. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records for our healthcare operations and supporting strategic decision‑making. You will work closely with finance, operations and audit teams to ensure compliance and financial efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Maintain the general ledger and record all financial transactions.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and file statutory returns such as VAT, PAYE and WHT.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets and expenditures.
• Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards and applicable laws.
• Generate management reports and provide financial analysis for business decisions.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.

Required profile

• ICAN qualification (ACA or equivalent) is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or corporate settings.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation and financial reporting.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
