Accountant – Full-time (Lagos)

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos. The role involves overseeing all accounting transactions, preparing budgets, and delivering accurate management reports to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain proper records.
• Prepare annual budgets and forecast costs and revenues.
• Produce accurate management reports and financial statements.
• Handle statutory payments, tax filings, and deductions.
• Assist senior management in critical financial decision‑making.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting (or equivalent).
• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and innovate.
• Excellent leadership and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PeachTree or Sage accounting software (or similar).
• Solid knowledge of cost accounting and management accounting.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing management reports.
• Ability to process statutory payments, tax compliance, and deductions.
