Accountant – Finance & Accounts (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts department in Ikoyi, Lagos. The role supports the hospital’s financial operations, ensuring accurate record‑keeping, reporting and compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers and accounting documentation.
• Process daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger accounts.
• Assist in periodic financial audits and support management reporting.
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of departmental budgets and track expenditures.
• Analyze financial data to provide cost‑control recommendations and support cash‑flow planning.
• Monitor hospital revenue, patient billing, insurance claims and collections, ensuring proper recording of payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN or equivalent is an advantage.
• 2‑4 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in a hospital or healthcare organization.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and internal accounting policies.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
