Accountability Assistant

About the role
The Accountability Assistant will support the Danish Refugee Council’s accountability team in Nigeria, contributing to the organisation’s mission of protecting displaced persons and ensuring transparent, rights‑based humanitarian action.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the accountability team in implementing and monitoring accountability mechanisms across programmes.
- Support data collection, entry and reporting on humanitarian activities and community feedback.
- Help prepare regular accountability reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in community feedback sessions and help document concerns and responses.
- Contribute to the organisation’s training sessions on accountability standards.
Required profile
- Strong interest in humanitarian work and protection of displaced populations.
- Ability to work in challenging and insecure environments in Nigeria.
- Basic understanding of humanitarian principles and standards.
- Capacity to work effectively in multi‑cultural teams.
Required skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
- Attention to detail in data entry and analysis.
