Account Officer

About the role

We are seeking an Account Officer to join J&F Technologies' finance team in Lagos. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the company’s financial compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and accounting documentation.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including journal entries and ledger management.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions.
• Monitor cash flow and track company expenses for proper financial management.
• Prepare and remit statutory payments, including tax, pension, and other regulatory obligations.
• Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company financial policies.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and reports.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all financial records for reference and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices.
• Integrity, accountability and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
