Account Officer – Financial Operations & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Account Officer to support our financial operations. The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, process transactions, and ensure compliance with accounting standards while working independently.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and account documentation.
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, receipts, and reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, following up on outstanding balances.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support budgeting, expense tracking, and cost‑control activities.
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders such as banks, auditors, and vendors.
• Assist during audits and provide required financial documentation.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience as an Account Officer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
