Truck Driver

About the role

Kenex Konsults International is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to transport goods and equipment across Port Harcourt and the wider Rivers State region. The role involves operating company trucks safely, adhering to schedules, and ensuring cargo security.

Key responsibilities

• Operate trucks to load, secure, transport, and unload cargo while protecting goods.
• Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, checking tyres, brakes, engine oil, coolant, lights, battery and reporting any faults.
• Follow assigned routes, delivery schedules and traffic regulations, delivering items to the correct locations on time.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, mileage, deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
• Communicate with dispatchers, supervisors and customers regarding deliveries and route issues.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE/WAEC or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience driving heavy‑duty trucks.
• Valid Nigerian driver’s licence for the appropriate truck class.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian roads, traffic regulations and safe driving practices.
• Physically fit to assist with loading and unloading.

Required skills

• Reading and understanding delivery documents and waybills.
