Territory Development Officer

About the role

The Territory Development Officer will drive customer acquisition in Ajeromi and surrounding areas, mapping tricycle parks and building a robust pipeline of prospects. This field‑based role focuses on converting qualified leads into financing customers while meeting monthly sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and generate prospective customers within Ajeromi and nearby locations.
• Visit and map 3‑wheelers/tricycle parks, engaging park and branch chairmen.
• Maintain a pipeline of at least 100 leads, including 30 high‑potential prospects.
• Collect and verify KYC documents and guarantor information for each prospect.
• Convert qualified leads into customers and support onboarding and financing processes.
• Achieve monthly acquisition and financing/sales targets.
• Monitor competitor pricing, loan terms, promotions and market activities.
• Submit accurate daily/weekly sales, field activity, pipeline and competitor reports.
• Collaborate with Credit, Operations, Collections and Marketing teams to resolve onboarding issues.
• Ensure full compliance with KYC and company procedures.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in field sales, business development, micro‑finance, asset finance or fintech.
• Proven track record in lead generation, prospecting and sales pipeline management.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑management abilities.
• Target‑driven and comfortable working in a field‑based environment.
• Basic knowledge of CRM/mobile applications and digital reporting tools.
• Ability to identify and develop business opportunities within a defined territory.
• Minimum OND/NCE/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field is an advantage.
• Residence within or close to Ajeromi/Festac/Apapa/Orile‑Iganmu or nearby areas with easy access to the territory.
