Telemarketing Officer - Study Abroad

About the role

Community Trust Network (CTN), an education consultancy in Abuja, is hiring a Telemarketing Officer to make outbound calls to prospective students, parents, existing leads, referrals and potential clients. The role promotes CTN's study-abroad services, admissions, visa assistance and training programmes, and converts interested people into enrolments.

Key responsibilities

• Contact leads from social media, online enquiries, databases and other marketing channels.
• Explain study-abroad opportunities, admissions, visa assistance and training programmes clearly and professionally.
• Follow up consistently with interested prospects, dormant leads and non-committed individuals until they enrol.
• Identify client needs, handle objections and encourage prospects to move toward application, registration and payment.
• Generate qualified leads, schedule consultations and represent CTN at marketing events, exhibitions, seminars, webinars and outreach programmes.
• Maintain accurate call, conversation, follow-up and outcome records in the CRM or designated tracking system.
• Submit daily call reports and meet monthly performance and conversion targets.

Required profile

• A bachelor's degree is an advantage.
• Previous 2-3 years' experience in telemarketing, telesales, outbound calling, customer service or sales is an advantage.
• Interest in education consultancy, study-abroad services or sales is an advantage.

Required skills

• Excellent verbal communication, persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Confidence making high-volume outbound calls and handling objections.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to keep accurate CRM records.
• Self-motivated, organized, professional and results-oriented.

Performance targets

• Daily call target: minimum 80-100 outbound calls; weekly: 400-500, depending on the approved schedule.
• Daily follow-ups: at least 20-30 existing leads, where available.
• Weekly and monthly targets for consultations, enrolments, applications and paying students.
• Daily activity reports on calls made, answered, prospects, follow-ups scheduled and conversions.

Remuneration and what we offer

• Monthly pay of NGN 250,000-300,000 (basic and performance-based).
