Technical Writer

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Writer to join our partner’s remote‑first team in Nigeria. You will create and maintain documentation for complex software solutions, working closely with engineering, product and design teams to ensure clear, accurate content for developers and technical users.

Key responsibilities

• Own documentation for one or more product areas, acting as the dedicated technical writing partner for product teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to capture product developments and keep documentation up‑to‑date.
• Build deep expertise in assigned areas by testing technologies and writing user‑focused guides.
• Manage documentation projects from planning through review, publication and ongoing maintenance.
• Advocate for user‑centric documentation and incorporate feedback and analytics.
• Continuously improve documentation structure, clarity and completeness.
• Share best practices with other technical writers and contribute to documentation standards.
• Support maintenance and evolution of documentation infrastructure, including build tools, deployment workflows and platforms.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience in technical writing with a portfolio of developer documentation.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible content.
• Collaborative mindset and experience working with cross‑functional product teams.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
• Proactive attitude towards improving documentation processes and tooling.
