Technical Superintendent – Marine Vessels

About the role

As a Technical Superintendent you will oversee the day‑to‑day maintenance and repair activities of assigned vessels, ensuring technical reliability, budget compliance and optimal fleet utilization.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute preventive maintenance programmes onboard vessels.
• Supervise, coach and instruct chief engineers to align technical management with company standards.
• Manage repairs, oversee crew and subcontractors, and ensure work meets planning, budget and quality criteria.
• Allocate and control costs related to repairs, dockings, damages and modifications.
• Guide onboard crew to adhere to company guidelines and specifications.
• Promote Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) awareness and lead by example.
• Interface with classification societies, flag states and other regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a technical superintendent, technical manager or similar role.
• Higher or secondary vocational education in mechanical engineering, naval architecture or equivalent.
• Preferably former chief engineer on offshore support vessels.
• Minimum 7 years of verifiable experience in technical supervision or port engineering.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
