Supply Chain Officer

About the role

The Supply Chain Officer will support Save the Children International’s humanitarian response in Borno by managing procurement, warehousing, stock, and fleet operations. The role ensures that goods and services are sourced and delivered cost‑effectively, on time, and in line with organisational and donor policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all procurement activities for the field office, following approved procedures and documentation.
• Check local market availability and pricing, coordinate with the country office when needed.
• Prepare weekly and monthly procurement status reports, highlighting outstanding requisitions and budget compliance.
• Monitor procurement and logistics costs in partnership with the Field Accountant.
• Maintain and update procurement and contract trackers at field level.
• Ensure communication protocols and security reporting are adhered to in the field office.
• Promote safeguarding compliance throughout all supply‑chain activities.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, logistics, or supply‑chain functions within humanitarian or development settings.
• Ability to produce accurate reports and manage tracking tools.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safeguarding and security standards.
