Supply Chain Associate

About the role

TAG Energy is hiring a Supply Chain Associate in Lagos (Marina) to support its clients by reviewing their supply chain needs, sourcing materials and goods and managing supplier relationships. The role is full time and entry level.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret clients' supply chain requirements, plan a course of action and negotiate contracts as needed.
• Purchase materials, goods, services and business services according to client specifications.
• Negotiate and research suppliers and commodities, and analyze supplier bids, tenders, proposals and quotations before reviewing them with the Supply Chain Manager.
• Negotiate prices and delivery conditions.
• Interpret inventory requests, production schedules, purchase requisitions and orders.
• Monitor the quality and timeliness of supplied materials and follow up on purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate order status to clients.

Required profile

• First degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Social Sciences or another numerical degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or Warehousing.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and within a small team.
• Good oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and administrative skills, and excellent attention to detail.

Required skills

• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
