Subsea Cable Installer Technician

About the role

The Subsea Cable Installer Technician is a part‑time, on‑site position based in Delta, Marina, supporting subsea cable projects for Chevron. The role involves preparing, installing and maintaining subsea cable systems to ensure reliable performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lay, route, secure and test subsea cables using hand and specialized tools.
• Perform inspections, troubleshoot faults and document all work performed.
• Assist with equipment setup, cable termination and preventive maintenance.
• Interpret technical diagrams and follow detailed installation procedures.
• Collaborate with project engineers and offshore teams while adhering to Chevron’s health, safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• BOSIET certification.
• Experience with cable installation and cable television systems or similar network environments.
• Proficiency with hand and basic mechanical tools.
• Knowledge of subsea or marine operations is beneficial.
• Ability to read technical drawings, work instructions and equipment specifications.
• Relevant technical or vocational training in electrical, telecommunications or marine engineering is preferred.
