About the role
UNICEF Nigeria is seeking a consultant to design the 2028‑2032 Strategic Partnerships for Impact (Resource Mobilization) Strategy. The role will guide the organization in expanding income streams and leveraging resources from public and private sectors to support children’s programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive 2028‑2032 resource mobilization and strategic partnerships strategy.
- Analyse untapped funding opportunities and emerging ODA priorities.
- Identify and propose public‑private partnership models and private‑sector engagement plans.
- Advise on advocacy and fundraising with international financial institutions and development banks.
- Promote South‑South and horizontal cooperation within and beyond the region.
- Set multi‑year targets, key performance indicators and an implementable roadmap.
Required profile
- Advanced university degree in finance, development economics, public policy, business administration, international relations or a related field.
- Minimum seven years of progressive experience in resource mobilization, strategic partnerships, fundraising, business development or development finance.
- Proven experience leading at least two comparable strategy assignments for international development organisations.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct partner and funding landscape analysis, develop value propositions and establish performance metrics.
- Fluent English proficiency.
