Store Manager – Retail Operations Lead

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Store Manager to lead our Quick Corner Freshmart outlet in Delta, Marina. You will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining store standards while developing strategies to grow our customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate product availability and retrieval to meet customer satisfaction.
• Develop and execute business strategies to increase foot traffic and profitability.
• Train, motivate, mentor, and provide feedback to sales staff to achieve sales targets.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Oversee store administration, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and overall store condition.
• Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits, and propose innovative ideas to increase market share.
• Conduct performance appraisals, identify training needs, and build career paths.
• Handle staff and customer issues, including complaints and grievances.
• Monitor product expiry dates and manage stock to prevent losses.
• Ensure timely supply of products, proper price tagging, and control losses from damaged or expired items.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and liaise with relevant authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of retail experience, preferably in a managerial role.
• Completed National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program or exemption letter.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication abilities.
• Ability to commute or relocate to the store location.
• Male candidates are preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic computer literacy.
