Spirit of Progress Manager – West & Central

About the role

Diageo is seeking a Spirit of Progress Manager for its Southern, West and Central Africa region. The role will lead the planning, budgeting and delivery of sustainability initiatives that support Diageo’s Vision to promote positive drinking, champion inclusion and drive grain‑to‑glass sustainability across 14 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and take accountability for the budget of multiple sustainability programmes.
• Negotiate costs with third‑party suppliers of goods and services as required.
• Monitor and advise the Diageo General Manager on budget activities related to employee engagement.
• Oversee implementation of Spirit of Progress priorities across Southern, West and Central Africa.
• Support the transformation and acceleration of the spirits business to double revenue.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing budgets for corporate sustainability or responsibility programmes.
• Strong understanding of African markets, particularly Southern, West and Central Africa.
• Ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross‑functional initiatives.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commitment to Diageo’s sustainability agenda and its three core priorities.
