About the role
The Social Media & Communications Officer will turn field data into compelling stories that highlight our work in youth and women advocacy, peace interventions, drug‑abuse prevention and WASH programmes. Working closely with project managers and the media team, you will amplify impact across digital channels and support community engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Collect, design and convert project content from field managers into engaging narratives aligned with core thematic areas.
- Create, curate and schedule content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and X (Twitter).
- Assist the media team with basic CMS tasks to publish articles and impact stories on the website.
- Engage online audiences by responding to partner inquiries, donor messages and youth club updates professionally.
- Provide real‑time multimedia coverage—including photography and short‑form video—for town halls, workshops and outreach events in Rivers, Lagos, Imo, Delta and neighboring communities.
Required profile
- Minimum qualification of HND.
- At least one year of experience in a similar social media or communications role.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency with basic Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Photography and video shooting for short‑form content.
- Experience managing multiple social media platforms.
