SME Portfolio Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SME Portfolio Manager to lead and grow our portfolio of small‑business clients in Nigeria. You will work closely with product, risk and operations teams to monitor performance, mitigate risks and provide data‑driven insights that shape our lending strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the performance and growth of an SME client portfolio, ensuring retention, satisfaction and profitability.
• Analyze portfolio data to identify trends, risks and actionable insights.
• Monitor key performance indicators and proactively address performance issues.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk and Operations to align portfolio strategy with business goals.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualise portfolio metrics.
• Support the development of credit strategies and tailored lending solutions for SMEs.
• Lead or support projects aimed at improving portfolio health, client segmentation and revenue optimisation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in SME banking, portfolio management or credit analysis within financial services.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data and translate it into business strategy.
• Proven experience working cross‑functionally with sales, risk, product and operations teams.
• Solid understanding of SME financing and risk management.
