Shift Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Shift Operations Supervisor will lead the day‑to‑day running of a gas processing plant, ensuring safe, reliable and uninterrupted production. This senior position combines operational oversight, emergency response leadership and close collaboration with maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise shift teams to achieve optimal plant performance and safety standards.
• Coordinate emergency response actions during incidents and ensure timely resolution.
• Coach, mentor and develop operations personnel, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
• Work closely with maintenance to address operational issues and minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of operations or maintenance experience in the oil & gas sector.
• At least 10 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in gas processing plants such as GPP, LNG or ammonia facilities.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and emergency response protocols.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Familiarity with MAPCON or comparable plant monitoring software.
