Senior Site Engineer

About the role

The Senior Site Engineer will lead all civil and external works on a large real‑estate development in Lagos Marina. You will coordinate road construction, drainage networks, utilities, and landscaping while ensuring alignment with the residential block programme.

Key responsibilities

• Manage civil works including internal roads, storm drainage, perimeter wall, security posts, sewage and water treatment plant installations, generator and solar power infrastructure, street lighting, and external landscaping.
• Liaise with the civil‑engineer consultant on design details, site conditions, and design changes.
• Coordinate civil works schedule with residential construction to avoid conflicts over access, material storage, and working areas.
• Oversee road and drainage construction sequence to support logistics and prevent service conflicts.
• Supervise installation of utilities: sewage treatment plant, water treatment plant, generators, electrical distribution, and fibre‑optic cabling.
• Manage setting‑out and level control for all roads and drainage in partnership with the land surveyor.
• Maintain the civil works register, including inspection records, utilities installation logs, and pressure‑test certificates.
• Ensure roads, drainage, and utilities are ready for commissioning before handover dates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; COREN registration preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of civil engineering experience, especially in road construction, drainage, and utilities installation.
• Experience with sewage and water treatment plant installations is an advantage.
• Prior work on Lagos State sites strongly preferred.
• Membership of the NSE is a plus.
