About the role
As a Senior User Experience Designer you will execute high‑quality designs for Moniepoint’s financial products, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible and effective. You will work with cross‑functional teams, mentor junior designers and champion user‑centred design across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute design strategies that align with business objectives and user needs.
- Lead the end‑to‑end design process from discovery and research to wireframing, prototyping and final UI execution.
- Conduct advanced user research, usability testing and A/B experiments to validate and refine solutions.
- Partner closely with product managers and engineers to ensure seamless implementation.
- Design scalable UI components and contribute to the evolving design system.
- Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design principles.
- Create and refine micro‑interactions and motion elements to improve engagement.
- Use data‑driven insights to continuously improve the experience and optimise business impact.
- Mentor junior designers and foster a culture of excellence.
- Stay ahead of fintech trends and best practices to drive innovation.
Required profile
- 5+ years in a senior product design role with a strong focus on UX.
- Mastery of visual design, typography, grids, layout and colour theory.
- Expertise in interaction design, information architecture and user flows.
- Deep understanding of mobile and web platform design.
- Strong knowledge of behavioural psychology and its influence on user decisions.
- Extensive experience conducting usability testing, user interviews and heuristic evaluations.
- Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into design decisions.
- Familiarity with UX analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel or Hotjar.
- Proficiency in atomic design principles and building scalable UI frameworks.
- Experience with motion design tools like Lottie, After Effects or Principle.
- Proven experience mentoring junior designers.
- Comfortable working in agile, fast‑paced product teams.
- Advanced Figma skills, including auto‑layout, design tokens and component variants.
- Background in fintech or SaaS environments.
