Senior Accountant

About the role

Swan Medico Ltd., a pharmaceutical distribution company based in Abuja, is seeking a highly organized Senior Accountant to manage financial operations and ensure accurate tracking of local and international transactions. The role reports directly to the Global Head of Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and currencies.
• Ensure proper documentation and receipt attachment for all company expenses.
• Track and reconcile monthly customer pre‑payment receipts and report issues to the CEO and Global Head of Finance.
• Manage supplier payments, including currency conversions from NGN to international currencies.
• Track and verify international transfers from Nigeria to foreign bank accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records, stock control, and compliance with company policies.
• Support the Global Head of Finance with reporting, documentation, and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Previous accounting or finance experience, preferably with a Big Four firm.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP or similar.
• Strong understanding of bank reconciliation, expense management, international payments and stock keeping.
